The 7 trustees came up on the stage to unveil the magazine...and in the backdrop ‘congratulations & celebrations ‘ the beautiful tune was played. Each member walked home with a copy of MPF waves, a creative well designed book both visually and textually, a window to showcase the highlights of what MPF is all about. One and half hour drive from Bhuj takes you to Dhordo (the last inhabited village before we can access the Rann of Kutch). Tent city never fails to impress you with its sensational creation and warm welcome. There were rows of white tents and bhungas inside the Rann Utsav area. Our noon went in exploring the tent city and enjoying the hospitality over there. Setting Sun in the White Rann: Ahh, Sunsets are The Best!! They have all the colours of the spectrum… So warm and soothing…. You can see the barren land everywhere when you are transported from tent city to view sunset. Commutation is by bus or car upto certain point where the camel carts are waiting for you to witness the beauty in barren. In no time the camel cart took us in the midst of desert and there you are in the largest salt marsh. The more we walked inside more white the land became. Sun and sand stretched before me as far as my eyes could see. And then it’s the time when sun meets the horizon, it is not a typical desert sunset experience. Everything is so different and that’s the mystical magic of Kutch. Locals say that the Rann changes mood with the changing hour of the day because the white desert reflects the mood of the sky. And this can be felt, in no time evening turns cold and dark. Black sky with almost full moon, more stars and constellations was spread above me. The Rann was shining like diamonds in the starlight. The sky seemed to merge with the unending dark horizon. I have never seen so many stars in my entire life. Was it a desert thing?? There was absolute silence, the quietness in the desert that you can absorb here. By the time you reach back, tent city is all decked up like a bride groom, ready to welcome all love in the life. At night the aura of the entire place is mesmerising. There are various in-house cultural activities, acoustic music, tribal performances, and star gazing to give your day a perfect end. Don’t leave the place if u haven’t……. Don’t watch the sunset if you don’t plan on watching the Sunrise too… In Kutch you enjoy the best of both the worlds. Sunrise at the Rann of Kutch leaves you with the feeling of convergence and separation. White sand here witnesses the convergence of sun and moon, where in the moon calmly bids adieu while the sun is drumming energy to rise from the white desert. The beauty of rising sun takes your breath away. You cannot believe that it is the same sun that was dominant yesterday evening is striving hard to make its presence feel over the expanse of white. At night the sky which enhanced the beauty of sand is now the reflection of desert. All the experiences cannot be described so it’s better to let camera lens take this beautiful morning home. But I would say lenses failed this time!! Mandvi Beach…. Mandvi is one of the place covered in the package of Rann Utsav. It is around 3 hours drive from Dhordo city. I don’t know what is it about the endless blue waters that attract me so much? My love for ocean always gives me something new. The sea at Mandvi beach seems to be very calm and quiet, it’s a mix of infinity and decipher. The sand at the sea shore is very hard and there are no high tides, so it is only good for swimming not like the other renowned beaches. The wind mills at the shore of the beach makes it look beautiful and different from other sea shores. It is more of private beach hence clean and not crowded. Other places: The package tour of Kutch has other places such as Kala Dungar, Swani Naranyan Temple, Vijay Vilas Palace, Shyamji Krishna Verma memorial. Visit to these places depends entirely on your liking, whether you want to explore or sit back in tents and enjoy in-house. Handicrafts and embroidery of Kutch has noble contribution to the Indian handwork traditions and can be procured in Dhordo or handicraft village at the time of visit to Kala Dungar. Handicrafts from Kutch have great overseas market. Best Time : Best time to visit Kutch is November to February during Runn Utsav. It is Rann festival held by Gujarat Tourism. Package takes care of end to end travel, food, BSF permits and all local sight seeing which makes your entire experience hassle free. Can be visited with friends and family, it is more fun if you go in large group. Every Journey is a treasure trove of memories. And behind each memory is a story. Hope you enjoyed this one!! MPF PICNIC MPF CASTLE 2017 “LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE.…..!! COME ONE COME ALL, TO CHERISH LIFE TIME MEMORY…..!!!” This was the moto of this year’s Team Picnic, and therefore they took us through our childhood memories of “Takeshi’s Castle”. Yes, you read it correctly, the same TV Show which is telecasted on Pogo Channel. This year i.e. on 24th December 2017, Team Picnic has entertained MPFian’s with the theme of Takeshi's Castle in the name & styled as “MPF CASTLE 2017”, with a small replica of the original show, at amazing park namely, Gravitation Park, and took us through the magnificent ride of childhood memories..!! Dear MPFians, Takeshi’s Castle was a Japanese Game cum Reality Show telecasted by Tokyo Broadcasting Inc. and aired in the year 1989-1990 in Japan, wherein General Takeshi used to build his army amongst the contestants, with unique style and funny games, to conquer the Castle. In line with the format of Takeshi’s Castle, Our Very Own General of MPF Castle 2017 namely, General Vimalji Karnani has built his army of best of best 25 MPFians to conquer the Castle. General Vimalji Karnani and his Lieutenant General namely, Manoji Mall have made all the MPFians to pass through various levels of games. There were three Rounds for filtration of final 25 MPFians i.e. Vimalji Karnani’s Army. These rounds included various hurdle, fun filled, adventurous games. Key Highlight was that, all these games were same replica of the said Show, with little modifications in rules. As usual this year’s Picnic, No No…. MPF Castle started at sharp 0800 Hours and for the first time in the history of MPF, Registration Process was done paper less i.e. Team Picnic has prepared a special Wrist Bands with unique Bar-Codding System given to each member/guest/kid. At registration counter, some of the Team Picnic Members have welcomed the fellow MPFians with Welcome Drink and have also tied those respective wrist band and scanned the bar-code to mark his/her attendance. Each family or small group were made to pass through the Three Barricades Cum Rooms, constructed in the Path-Way, consisting some surprises. The moment MPFians have entered into 1st Room to welcome them a Devil appeared from no-where and MPFians got pleasant and shocking surprises. Predicting and making similar mind-set for some another surprise in next Rooms, MPFians entered into 2nd Room, however, Team Picnic have really played well with the mind-set of MPFians, to surprise them all with Little Angles Welcoming with Sweets. With no idea MPFians entered into 3rd Room and found Moving Box Man, scaring them with smile. Finally, after warm welcome and un-predictable surprises MPFians were escorted and served with delicious breakfast. Around 0915 Hours Team Picnic gathered all MPFians in gathering arena, where Anchor namely, Mr. Abhay Jaju welcomed all and made them to shake on his moves, dance, warm-up exercise. Thereafter Anchor has explained the theme and event flow to all. Here everyone was excited and set to go through all the 3 Levels set by the Team Picnic. In Level-1, Team Picnic has created set up of three fascinating and interesting games i.e. Footloose, Animuddle and Line-Up. Only, 150 MPFian winners have qualified through this level to next level. For the first time, selection process and winners were registered through scanning process of Bar-Codes of the Wrist Bands. The details of the 1st Level games are as follows:- Ø Footloose :- Some funny and creative footwears were kept and MPFians have to wear and cross the track full of hurdles. MPFians have never seen such footwears of Keyboards, Buckets, boxes, cardboards, thermocols, etc. The first 150 MPFians were scanned and registered as winners of this game. This game was played in two set, giving opportunity to late comers MPFians to participate in round 2. Ø Animuddle (Giant Puzzle) :- Everyone has played puzzle in his/her childhood, but not like this. Team Picnic have placed various pieces of giant puzzles on the ground and to complete the puzzle MPFians have to search and match his/her piece with remaining 5 pieces. All MPFians were running, shouting and searching for their puzzle holders to complete his/her puzzle. First 25 groups were made to sit in the numbered boxes marked on the ground, and these all were scanned as winners of this game. Ø Line-Up :- Name itself disclose that, MPFians have to make a line, however, Team Picnic making a twist made everyone to stand up in line on specially prepared numbered Wooden Planks matching the Token Number grabbed from the hanged wires. Once 6 members of any row/line gathered then, that row/line/group was entitled to start walking wearing those specially made Wooden Planks till the Achiever’s line. MPFians were enjoying the unique walk. Team-bounding and collective efforts were witnessed amongst the MPFians. First 25 winners were scanned and registered as winners of this game. While the shortlisting of top winners was going MPFians were enjoying the delicious lunch in the dining area. In second half everyone were gathered in ground and all the 150 qualified winners were announced and distributed into small groups, which were randomly allotted to different games of Level-2, escorted by the respective Game Leaders and Referees. For the first time the selection process was done via computer, and for this all Team Picnic has set up of Laptops and Printers. In Level-2 four amazing and creative games i.e. Bowling, Show of Hands, Bin the Ball and Earth-Quake were planned to filter further, which were played simultaneously at the various places in the park. Only, 80 MPFian winners have qualified through this level to next level. The details of the 2nd Level games are as follows:- Ø Earth Quake :- MPFians have really experienced the feeling of earth-quake. Here, each MPFian sat on pillows with his/her hands tied with a rope or keeping on head, and some kids jumping on the same Trampoline. The MPFian managed to balance himself/herself has declared as winners of this game. Ø Show of Hands :- Name itself speaks about the game. Each MPFian wore the specially prepared prop of Giant Palm. Referee quoted an equation and MPFians have to calculate it and search the answer on Plank kept on the ground and simply jump/lie on it. Team Picnic have taken special efforts towards the safety, and therefore have prepared a large bedded ground. MPFians hopped and fell down on the right answer were declared as winners of this game Ø Bin the Ball :- A game of childhood memories with some twist to it. MPFians were tied a basket on their back and have to catch a ball thrown via Large Guller, MPFians weren’t allowed to use their hands, the one who catches the ball in the bin were declared as winners of this game. Ø Bowling :- One of the key highlight game and set-up of the event. Everyone has played the bowling game, however not this kind. Team Picnic has specially prepared Giant Pins, enabling MPFians to enter into it, Yes this was the twist. MPFians were to wear those Giant Pins as per the card selected by them and stand on the matching number. Very specially prepared Huge Ball hanging on wire was thrown towards the Human Pins. MPFian falling were disqualified and the one who are standstill were declared as winners of this game. All the 80 qualified winners were distributed into small groups and randomly were allotted to different games of Level-3 and escorted by the respective Game Leaders and Referees. Here also the selection process was done via computer. In Level-3 four adventures and thrilling games i.e. Bridge-Ball, Big Bird, High Rollers and Flag It were planned to filter further i.e. final 25 MPFians as Final Army of General Vimalji Karnani. These all games were also played simultaneously at the various places in the park. All credit shall go to the Team Picnic for designing the games using the set-up of the Gravitation Park so smartly. The details of the 3rd Level games are as follows:- Ø Bridge Ball :- This set-up and game looked one of the simplest, but was one of the toughest of it. MPFians have to cross the Big Burma Bridge collecting balls in his/ her bin, which is tied on back. MPFian finishing quicker and collecting maximum balls was declared as winner of this game. Many MPFians lost their balance while crossing the Big Burma Bridge, which made audience worried and laughter. Ø High Rollers :- At first instance all MPFians qualified for this game expressed their thoughts as too simple and easy, but while playing found the most difficult game. Each MPFian has to complete two rounds of lap on the rollers with lesser time. Twist was that, those rollers were moving and to balance on those was the biggest task. MPFian finishing both the laps in lesser time was declared as winners of this game. Ø Big Bird :- MPFians playing this game experienced themselves as being a bird. Yes each of them literally was flying like a bird on a Zip-Liner. MPFians while flying with the special wings given on zip-line have to pick a Teddy with their legs and put it in basket placed at the end. In first rounds almost everyone failed to finish the task and therefore this game was played twice, and in next round few MPFians have successfully dropped the teddy in the basket and these were declared as winners of this game. Ø Flag It :- The most funniest game of all. Very simple game and set-up, with special twists. MPFians have to cross the Big Commando Bridge and collect maximum Flags with MPF CASTLE imprint on it. MPFians were rolling, falling and slipped while attempting the target. Audience watching this game were unable to control their laughter and comments. MPFians who collected maximum flags were declared as winners of this game. At the end of this Level i.e. 3rd Level General Vimalji Karnani got his Final 25 Army MPFians. Other eliminated MPFians were also enjoying the event. Team Picnic very nicely engaged the MPFians with various small and funny Gags and Games played with the eliminated MPFians and kept everyone engaged between the slots required by them to make ready their next game set-ups. Huge coordination and team bounding was seen in between the Team Picnic. Every Team Picnic Member was aware of his/her roles and responsibilities, and were performing and delivering their 100% without any hazel or shame. Each of the Team Picnic Member was smiling throughout entire event, without any botheration that, they are unable to enjoy and actually play the games. It seems that, the passion and efforts of organising the event was making them more fascinating and enjoyable. Finally, the winner 25 MPFian i.e. selected Final Army of General Vimalji Karnani entered into the arena of Final Showdown. It was the highlight of the entire event. The battle between General Vimalji Karnani’s Army against Team Picnic, headed by Mr. Parikshit Darak was worth watching. Soldiers of both the team were equipped with FULLY LOADED GUNS (i.e. Water Guns). Each MPFian of Showdown had placed specially prepared Paper Ring Hat on their head, and he/she has to defend that ring being broken/damaged by other team’s soldiers, with the help of those water guns. Finalist were running within the arena, and attacking each other to break those Paper Rings targeting as per their own plans. Audience watching this show were unable to control their laughter, and witnessing themselves to Big Holi fight. The twist of this show was that, the team’s all Paper Rings are damaged or broken was declared as defeated in the battle (i.e. Final Show Down). The army headed by General Vimalji Karnani have defeated the Team Picnic headed by Parikshitji Darak and finally conquered the MPF CASTLE. Once the General Vimalji Karnani conquered the Castle everyone from the audience entered into the arena and celebrated by dancing on special DJ. Team Picnic facilitated the winning team i.e. General Vimalji Karnani’s Army by honouring them with specially made Ribbons uncarved as MPF CASTLE WINNERS. Everyone (including all age groups) had enjoyed the entire event. Team Picnic’s preparation and dedication was commendable and speechless. During entire event, delicious snacks and energy drinks were served continuously. This year some innovative initiatives have been taken by the Team Picnic such as Personal Invitations to its Fellow MPF Members with a Customised Calendar. Every MPFians have appreciated this personal invitation activity and expressed their gratitude at fullest. During entire event the kids were engaged in various physical and educational activities by “Saksham Group”. Everyone has admired and complemented this most difficult and big task, because every couple were able to play and enjoy the event to its fullest. This year for the first time Team Picnic have conducted and organised a trial event for the Avians Couple Group on 26th November 2017, which made them enable to rectify and overcome the drawbacks. Even for the first time all the special props prepared are let on rent to different groups, whereby the Team Picnic is recovering their deficit. Team Picnic have not stopped here..!! They have also made everyone to wear Funny, Attrangi and Mis-Match dressing. For the first time it was realised that, “To Dress No-Sense, You Require a Sense..!!”. MPFians have witnessed the creativity and madness of the dressing, dressed by all fellow MPFians, including the Attrangi dressing of Team Picnic i.e. Shaktiman, Spiderman, Draculla, Devil, Joker, Adivasi, etc. Almost everyone has marked his/her presence in very unique style and mis-match dressing. This added the charm and made the event more colourful. Everyone was expecting some extra ordinary and unforgettable day out and the same has been delivered by Team Picnic headed by Mr. Parikshit Darak in the form of MPF CASTLE. Somebody said rightly, ‘Expect the Unexpected’, and this is the quality of this year’s Team Picnic…!!! Finally, when asked Mr. Parikshit Darak about the success tips and mantra, he replied, ‘Tireless and collective efforts of entire committee is the key success of the event.’ He gave entire credit to his Team and further expressed his gratitude to his Project Chairman. He has also not forgot to mention about some extra ordinary commitments and dedications of some Committee Members. Travel Diaries For Insatiable travel lovers- Gokarna Diary: Let the wild bird within you fly - CA Nisha Gandhi Kasat. It was one of those pleasant winter evenings when the bright sun was going down to kiss the dazzling water after hosting a vibrant party. The warm color of the setting sun transports us to enchanted world. This scenic beauty is not the “catch one,” but actively go find a place to watch one. I am talking about the small temple town Gokarna on the western coast of India situated in the lap of Arabian Sea. Cultural Melange: Beautiful beaches and Holy Streets Gokarna offers lot of possibilities for the curious souls, most popular among them are the beaches of the town. Beaching here at Kudle beach and Om beach is a zestful low key affair and not meant for full scale parties like Goa. Hidden behind the hillock, Kudle is the mesmerizing beach for the sea lovers who want to observe the vastness of the nature. One side is the infinite Arabian Sea and other side are the rocky mountains full of coconut trees. It’s kind of a private beach where you are in between the cleanest stretch of the sand. Here you can see tourists tanning on the hot stretch of sand, practicing yoga, lovers walking hand in hand, adults swimming in the clear blue seas, children building sand castles, local charming vendors energizing you with some fresh tropical fruits and vegetables. My favorite was swimming in the deep sea where in beyond the rising waves you experience the calmness of the sea. Slowly, as you sink to kiss the turquoise water, you will feel your heart unwinding, setting your soul free. The overwhelming calmness between the infinity brings the realization of the preciousness of life. After beaching entire morning, when the sun becomes little difficult to handle, quickly one can go to nearby shacks. The beaches are lined with small shack restaurants offering variety of delicious cuisine. Large number of foreigners invading the place has changed the culture of the place. The local shacks offer you world cuisine. Hopping of shacks is best for the different meals of the day. Prema’s café near city beach offers you best quality food and famous local delicacy “Gadbad”. Gokarna is also a pilgrimage for the Hindus. It has various sacred temples. In the narrow lane of the town, you can see devotees of Lord Shiva with a black wrap buzzing the chants, thus adding to the element of town’s history. A small climb over the rocks will lead you to Rama temple from where the sunset gives different meaning to life. At nightfall I found myself at rustic café Om Shree Ganesha at Om beach, trying to make sense of the different languages of people from the world over the dinner table with muffling waves. The night was soaked with food and friends, strangers smiling at each other, narrating their stories. You can hear their stories from distance or can be part of it, no matter what we choose this will become an inevitable part of our travel story. Why Gokarna If you are looking for the relaxing BEACH (Best Escape Anyone Can Have) holiday away from the tiring crowd for some time, if you are among those rare minds that long to experience something divine, you love to talk with the streets and connect with the solitude Gokarna is the place for you. The same moon shines in our city and the same stars twinkle on our terrace but it is an overwhelming feeling to experience it here lying on the sand bed on the beach, talking to the silence and realizing that life is made up of MOMENTS NOT MILESTONES !! DISHA 2017 - "Hungry Kya?"Our thoughts govern our life. Positive thoughts lead to a positive life. Feeding our body is our responsibility, and so is feeding our mind too. Disha is an MPF initiative to feed the minds of our community with motivation, inspiration and positivity. This year Team Disha jointly with Pune Jilha Yuva Samiti organized a powertalk "HUNGRY KYA?"by eminent motivational speaker Mr.Manish Gupta.It was attended by 500+ people from our community on Saturday, 18th Nov.2017 at Kalmadi High school Auditorium, Erandwane, Pune . Mr.Manish Gupta in a very easy language explained few very important concepts that would help us lead a successful and a balanced life. Few pointers explained by the speaker: It's not the fact that makes a difference but the realisation of the fact that makes a difference.Realisation makes us take an action. We all have a choice to grow, empower ourselves, become better than we are in the present. We all want everything positive around and happiness always but unconsciously we lead to negative emotions (greed, jealousy, anger, anxiety.,etc...)Rather than living in past or in future where we cannot change anything, we should take conscious efforts to be in present because only present is in our hands and where we can make a difference. We should not let the triggers in the outside world control our life and our emotions. Its only oneself who can control his / her emotions. We should become worthy enough of our existence, understand the purpose of our life and work to be a benchmark for our family, organization, society at large. We should not just be consumers but contributors in making earth a better place. We should work for the betterment and upliftment of our society. The serious concepts were made easy to understand with simple examples from day to day life in very hilarious way. Throughout the talk, there were many outbursts of laughter. It was the first time when the next generation of MPF was promoted. The 10 yr old kids Ishaan Jajoo and Diti Chandak as MoC conducted the event very confidently and efficiently. Role Model and Impact on Your Life ...By Shruti Bangad
Books give us lot of valuable knowledge. When I was little, I loved reading stories of great people. But I always had a wish to meet such brave dynamic people, reading their stories really filled me with lot of pride and inspired me to be like them. I realized, my inspiration was limited as I hadn't experienced these great people in real life. Today I am a successful individual fulfilling all my dreams and aspirations. When I look back and think. I realize that the biggest role model in my life, who inspired me on a day to day basis is my DAD. I learnt so many virtues from him as I grew and saw him do various acts of kindness, bravery and decision making. With him I saw how I should live life with dignity and grace!
He is my Mentor, My Coach, My Hero, My Best friend, My Strength, My weakness a Lovely Husband and Best Dad. I would say anyone can be father but it takes someone special to be dad and that’s why I call him dad. He is so special to me, he taught me the Game called “Life” and he taught me how to play it right.
At very early age he lost his father but as an elder son he took all the responsibility of his younger siblings he fought with every hard situation in his life and struggled very hard and became a Charted Accountant clearing every exam in first attempt. This is the best learning for me that we should face each and every situation in life keep patience to be successful and believe in yourself and have faith in God.
My father was so talented, Self-disciplined and well experienced from the past with what he grew up, He believed in valuing more of human relation, making more friends, more active in a family and social life. For him money was a secondary thing but caring others was first.
My dad use to be smaller with baby and mature with elder and everyone in family, friends wanted to enjoy his company.
For a father, nothing is greater than a daughter he always said that “Shruti’s birth was a happiest thing that ever happened to me”. For him we three were his pride, he was always there to protect us. I am not ashamed to say that no man I ever met was my father’s equal and I never loved any other man as much. I celebrate Father’s Day every day.
He taught me we should respect the elders, help others, be a kind person, be honest, take care of our loved ones, anger is not a solution for any problem. And this helped me a lot even in my married life. Being a younger daughter in law in the family, many times some tough situation comes but I never feel sad to compromise. I always try to live my life like my dad lives his. Even for my daughter Kashvi I always wanted to give all the things which my dad taught me and gave me.
He surely left a very strong impact on my life which I always try to implement and never forget in my whole life. We should say truth, never lie to anyone. Never ever give up. There is always a bright day after a dark night. We should not blame or complain to anyone so no blame no complains and no excuse.
The greatest gift I have ever got from god I call him “DAD”.
At last I want to say two line for you DAD
"जगण्या रे मला अजुन ही तूच हवा
बाबा थांब ना रे तू बाबा जाऊ नको दूर"......
DAD wherever you are but you will be never forgotten.
I miss you a lot Papa. Love you always.

Role Model and Impact on Your Life

BECAUSE THEY HELPED ME LIVE BETTER!
Little I knew of the world I came to, to all my role models I always look up to!
Little I know of the world I live in, my Friends, Philosophers, guides they have been!
For Learning knows no bound, And I bank on every being around…
To learn from, to inspire and know more; Life gives many opportunities to grow!
I SALUTE TO ALL THESE ROLE MODELS…
***THE KIDS***
Their curious eyes that twinkle like sapphire,
Their fingers that hold not to let go;
Their feet wobbling, fearlessly so;
Their moves uninhibited and carefree, I admire
Their toothless smile and my heart desire…
To be as naïve, as curious, as confident and as happy as the kids!
***The Elders***
Their words serve as an institution,
Their sacrifices to make others life full;
Their actions and thoughts that is dutiful;
Their concern and care and pure affection,
Their welcoming smile that binds generations…
I seek each one's wisdom, I lean on their words!
***The Nature***
Her kindness to accommodate all creatures,
Her ever-giving attitude;
Her accompaniment in solitude;
Her warmth and fullness and variety canvas features,
Her softness, her embracing arms extending towards all creatures!
Mother Nature that completes me whenever I need a fallback!
***The Universe***
For its vastness that expands limitlessly,
For the changes it adopts and adapts to;
For the five elements, it holds on to;
For offering a little universe to everyone selflessly;
For the energies that it generates continuously!
It inspires me to eternity and indefinitely!

Joy of Life 2017- Back to School
“Back to School” is a program under the Joy of Life theme undertaken by the members of Mahesh Professional Forum, a social group of professional Maheshwari’s. The basic aim of the “Joy of Life” program is not enjoyment or entertainment but also the rejuvenation of the life - through having a healthy body and a healthy mind.
Keeping in mind the basic of theme ‘Joy of Life’, this year under the leadership of Project Director Ms. Rameshwari Jaju and Chairman Mr. Sanket Tapadiya, the team of 15 couples decide to have this year’s theme as “Back to School”. This project was done jointly in association with Rotary Club of Poona Downtown.
The theme is basically based on the dream each one of us has to re-live once again our good old school days, to discover the hidden kids inside us and get back to the fun and masti, innocence in each question we asked and the carefree days and help rejuvenate our mind and soul. The event was planned for 2nd July 2017, from 8:00 am onwards and the venue was Marathwada Mitra Mandals College of Engineering. The event was meticulously planned to get the Real Feeling of being in a School and was to take the time machine back.
The entire aspects of school from the assembly, lectures, sports period, cultural event and of course the exams were well planned and executed. To give the feeling of school, all members were requested to come in School uniform along with their tiffins, water bottles and school bags. The lunch break had students running out to play and buy toffees, guavas and little things we used to get at outside the school gate. The code of conduct includes punctuality, uniform, grooming, behaviour, discipline, cleanliness and the regular code of conduct of any school. All the students were followed the same with a great enthusiasm.
The classrooms were innovately named as Dreamland, Wonderland and Disneyland. There were separate classrooms based on the age group of children – less than 5, between 5 to 15 years and above 15 years. The school started at 8:00 am with registration of student and distribution of the colour houses, and classrooms followed by assembly and physical training. At 9:00 am the students had a short recess for Tiffin’s. After the short recess the students where entered in pre-allocated class with roll nos. There were three periods of each class which includes painting activity, quiz and guest lectures. Post classroom activity, there was a gathering and cultural program where rotary club has presented an experiential presentation, the inauguration of school magazine and a small skit presented by the team Joy of Life. Before the end Team Digital and Business Connect has taken a surprise quiz and the gifts were handed to winners.
The event concluded with the lunch. The team kept the theme ‘don’t waste food’ for the painting activity to give the message of social responsibility and all the students religiously followed the theme. The wastage of food was minimal and we MPFians & Rotarians were appreciated by caterer also.
Feedback from Rotarian Pradeep Munot.....
It really was fun to go 'Back 2 School'.
Though initially I had said 'No' to Balkrishna when he called for attending this event, today morning I suddenly discovered that I can manage to spare one hour. So I decided to go. Kanta also joined. The rules Balkrishna mailed said that "arriving late to school is permitted". So we were encouraged to start from home at 9.30!
So we reached the school and entered the class room where a teacher was 'teaching' a class of 40+ students - boys & girls, using projector. Later on I learnt that Mohan Palesha 'sir' had just finished his class in another class, a lecture on cyber crime was going on in yet another class.
There was a 'test', which we had to appear. Time allowed was 10 minutes, perhaps not of the clock! Copying was ignored! Our Pundlik was one of the bright students who scored high marks.
Students were shooting 'rockets' and doing all sorts of 'Dhamaal' parallely. A 'vendor' was giving chikki, salted peanuts, imli, and such interesting stuff with pleasure.
Then sounded tolls of school bell and all 'students' were directed to go to auditorium for assembly where our Kimaya was going to make a presentation. I was compelled to go but surely Kimaya must have impressed them all.
Very few Downtowners were seen at the event, which was very superbly and meticulously organised by MPF. It was fun. We very much enjoyed it.

ARTICLES- FASHION & LIFESTYLE
Fashion and Lifestyle....... By Mrs. Preetiji Jaju ([email protected])
Dear Friends,
What is the first thing that comes to your mind when someone asks you to define fashion ? Is it "Style", "Attitude”, "being well dressed", "gracefulness", demeanour that attracts a lot of attention?
I bet that it is a combination of all these in our minds and the definition is different for each one of us based on how much weightage we attribute to these different elements.
Fashion to me is a way of life. It is a reflection of the state of mind we are in and to a large extent is a means of communicating our attitude to people around us.
Core essence to look stylish is to be fit .By Fitness, I don't mean just being physically fit, but also realisation of inner self and being stress free .Good healthy eating habits along with a disciplined workout (yoga /walk) will help you to have a positive frame of mind.
Being stylish/fashionable is your thought process combined with elegance & sublimity .Of course; it starts with dressing in a way that enhances one's personality rather than blindly following the trend. All of us are unique and the sooner we realize what looks great on us, quicker is our journey to be fashionable.
We should try different things, but when it's time to make that solid impression, rely on time and tested outfits that make the difference.
Grooming ourselves and paying attention to our natural aging process will make us even more aware of how we deal with the inevitable change around us.
Lastly, I would say that it is not appropriate to think of fashion to be applicable to women only. In today's world, men are also influenced by the trends and looking forward to differentiate themselves. This is a good beginning for times to come...
Stay fashionable with a right attitude!
Smile always :-)

We should try different things, but when it's time to make that solid impression, rely on time and tested outfits that make the difference.
Grooming ourselves and paying attention to our natural aging process will make us even more aware of how we deal with the inevitable change around us.
Lastly, I would say that it is not appropriate to think of fashion to be applicable to women only. In today's world, men are also influenced by the trends and looking forward to differentiate themselves. This is a good beginning for times to come...
Stay fashionable with a right attitude!
Smile always :-)

FASHION
Whoever said that money can’t buy happiness, simply didn’t know where to go shopping..!!!
FASHION, one of my favourite title to write on. Fashion is something that comes from within YOU..!!! It’s a form of ART..!!! Like, fine artists choose canvases to express their thoughts, we choose the medium of clothes to express our creativity, moods, personality. The world of Fashion encompasses every sphere of our life and activities. Fashion, today has taken a front seat and is of topmost priority to every individual from every age group. The word "fashion" in itself covers a wide arena from clothing to your mode of education, to your way of communication, everything today holds a prefix to it in the form of 'OUT OF' or 'IN' fashion.
As it’s aptly said, “First impression is the last impression”. So, the impression, one gives without uttering a word, is with their overall appearance – their clothes, apparel, shoes, haircut, etc. We judge a person with just a glance at him.
By fashion, I don’t just mean trends. I believe fashion should not own you, but decide what you are, what you want to express about the way you live, reflects your personality. Fashion also defines OUR CULTURE..!!!! Fashion is something that exists not only in clothes but it is in the sky, in the street, in the air. Fashion has OMNI-PRESENCE !!!!
Fashion for “ME” is “It doesn’t matter what you wear what matters is how you feel about it.”
LIFESTYLE
A lifestyle reflects an individual's attitudes, way of life, values, or world view. It is a means of forging a sense of self and to create cultural symbols that resonate with personal identity. However, in our 21st century, the definition of lifestyle has changed. “Lifestyle is the way a person or a group lives. It includes patterns of social relations, fashion, entertainment, and dress.”
A way of living of individuals, families, and societies, which they manifest in coping with their physical, psychological, social, and economic environments on a day-to-day basis.
Lifestyle is expressed in both work and leisure behaviour patterns and on an individual basis in activities, attitudes, interests, opinions, values, and allocation of income. It also reflects people's self-image or self-concept; the way they see themselves and believe they are seen by the others. Lifestyle is a composite of motivations, needs, and wants which is influenced by factors such as culture, family, reference groups, and social class.
Lifestyle for “ME” is - “Living life on your own terms. Lead the path that feels most authentic to you and will let you live your passions. Life is thoroughly enjoyed when organized.”
FASHION & LIFESTYLE !!!
There is an intense connection between Fashion & Lifestyle…!!! For our younger generation, lifestyle is all about outer fashion, which is reflected in clothing, shoes, brands. However, for old generation, lifestyle is more about spending habit, healthy food, fitness which is again a part of inner fashion. Our lifestyle is a perfect reflection of our Fashion…!!! Anything and everything is style today.
Lifestyle, by way of fashion, has to do with confidence, with flattering silhouettes, with patterns, with proper fit for body type, and with an abundance of self-love..!!!!
BELIEVE ME - Express yourself, don't repress yourself, there is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a WE being OURSELF..!!!
Awaiting To Write Next One…!!!!
Special Thanks to our MPF Digital Team for giving “WE” MPF’ians an opportunity to express our self & write on our favourite topic..!!

For I like to make portmanteaus!
Fashion and Lifestyle are the terms nowadays often used interchangeably and sub-consciously to determine the 'social status' to certain extent. One leads to the other. So does fashion really reflect lifestyle or the vice versa is true or a mix of both? What is their influence on an individual and the society?
Gone are the days of 'Simple Living, high Thinking' philosophy based lifestyle. Such a lifestyle lacked fashion quotient. The perception of lifestyle, now, has transgressed to a trendier 'HS' fashion. Thanks to our facilitators (with full gratitude to the Internet) to have made fashion common man's reach! Erstwhile the common man paid little heed to fashion over lifestyle. Manish Malhotra, Armani and the like signatures or the high-end brands of Burberry, Rado, Harley Davidson or modified cars were few and far between. But now, it's a common sight. Every second beau on the street dons a raving moustache and VK hairdo. And if it's a damsel then you will know the latest lip and nail color and whatever is 'in' FASHION sooner than it hits the ramp!
Some reasons of fashion in day-to-day life - Fashion has been made available at very competitive rates globally. Besides, there is a serious shift in the spending behavior of the people, who now are quite fashion indulgent. As the occidental and oriental cultures interact, there is a 'give and take' process. We have traded the simple and conservative lifestyle for the more outgoing and flaunting one. The influence of interaction of cultures and globalization has definitely led to a rise in the standard of living and thus the spending power of the individuals has increased. The average income has gone higher and the erstwhile rarities in fashion now are more affordable. So, this shows that lifestyle betterment has led to the increased focus on fashion. Lifestyle has led to fashion.
Fashion also has influenced the lifestyle for good. But, per se, the apparel or accessories will only define fashion and reveal your spending capacity. It is the ATTITUDE that you pick and wear which will reflect your choice and your lifestyle – to be a follower or to be a trendsetter!

Fashion and Lifestyle
“It doesn’t matter what you wear, what matters is how you wear”
Fashion reflects lifestyle and Lifestyle reflects through Fashion. Fashion doesn’t have a single definition but it consist a huge essence of lifestyle.
Fashion plays an important role in an indivi¬dual’s life because it is considered as a means of self-expression and self presentation.
By nature, every person has inherent desire to look good, being appreciated about good looks. Each person is somewhat fashion conscious. According to a study, your fashion sense and the clothes you wear can affect your emotional state. The way we dress affects our self-esteem. The way you dress affects your mood, health and overall confidence. When you look good, you feel good inside, have more positive energy. You perform at a much higher level in your personal and professional level.
Fashion is neither stable nor eternal. It is ever-changing. Human nature is that, he wants to adopt new and beautiful things. Without fashion our life has no taste because we have adopted fashion in each step in our life. Human being cannot live on one taste. As we can’t eat same dish everyday likewise, we cannot spend our life on same fashion. We want to make our life colourful.
Fashion gives designers a chance to be independent in idea and make a new trend. Fashion shows are a tool to show the latest trend. Print and electronic media have helped to spread the fashion by showcasing the fashion statement of celebrities.
When we think about fashion, we probably think about products such as clothes, sunglasses, jewellery and so on to change outer personality. Apart from these products, we can nurture it in our personality. We can follow it in our daily activities too. Style of living, style of behaving, types of places where we live, types of food we eat, and types of activities we do, all can be changes or modified according to fashion.
If you have a better and higher lifestyle, with higher income, you can afford better designs and varied fashion. But in today’s world, due to global reach of fashion, you could still access affordable fashion and still have the satisfaction of being fashionable.
To be fashionable and maintaining current trend of fashion is not wrong, until it does not cross the limits. Be creative in what you wear, but don’t overdo it by exposing yourself inappropriately.
Be Happy and be Fashionable, Simply because you deserve to be.
Fashion and Lifestyle....... By Mrs. Priyanka Kabra ([email protected])
The word “fashion” brings on images of glamour. The fashion we follow or incorporate is largely inspired by Bollywood celebrities, award shows and fashion weeks. Also, the environment around us plays a consequential role in the kind of fashion we adapt.
Fashion also ensues the nature’s law of change! Amongst the changing variables of fashion, style is the only constant. Fashion is something that comes from within. I feel fashion is art. Fashion is therapy. Fashion is comfort. Fashion is your personality. Fashion is YOU!! However much the external forces influence our sense of fashion, it is, ultimately, the internal factors that drives our taste of fashion. It is here, where our lifestyle comes into frame.
Our lifestyle, society, peers and surroundings (as I mentioned earlier) are crucial facets in choosing the kind of clothes we wear. The way we dress up delineates the person we are. I strongly discern that fashion is a language where one communicates through clothes rather than words. It makes a mark of our personality. And as humans, our brain remembers and registers images/visuals more concretely thus leaving the appearance on a person’s mind for a longer stretch and sometimes, for eons!
To add a tad humour, I decided to ask my 9 year-old nephew “What is fashion?” He immediately replied, “Fashion is for girls!” His answer made me wonder and I began to think what must have made him say this. Racking my brain, I incurred that fashion in girls is prominently noticed because of the numerous range of options available from head to toe. In boys, whereas, the options are less. Whatever it is, but fashion is fashion and is for everyone!
Everyone can be fashionable but the art lies in carrying oneself with the same elegance, sophistication and dignity. I surmise there is one essential thing required to carry oneself – it’s confidence. Confidence is like oxygen, the survival becomes tough with its absence. It can also make a wrong outfit look right. It can never make one look under dressed or overdressed. So, if I have to synopsize the entire article in one line, it would be : Inheriting fashion with confidence in one’s lifestyle is the key mantra to walk the ramp of life!

Few of feedback from members are given here:
Congratulations Pawan and Team for setting unreachable milestone in BCL. The hard work of you and your team was clearly visible and appreciated not only by all Mpfians but also all the dignitaries and guest who visited the show. MPF is proud to have such a vibrant, hardworking, focused, energetic, polite director to MPF Pune Central. One more person behind this show who always keep himself away from Publicity "KHANDU" - an amazing personality with great passion towards sports. Only because of your microplanning, BCL has achieved such a grand success. We all have enjoyed each n every moment of this year's BCL.

This was my first BCL. Though I heard a lot about it, this year only, I had first hand experience of it. It was thoroughly professional arrangement. Right from quality n menu and continuous tasty food to opening ceremony to kind of mementoes to sponsors to informative board about matches to almost on time matches to no wastage of time to commentary to pavilion arrangements to live telecast to everything. Everything was perfect.
Congratulations Pavan, Khandu, Punit and all other team members.

“Sports and Fitness”....By Mr.Durgeshji Chandak
Things which I learn't from my Sports Hero
I like playing and watching cricket since my childhood. I used to play for school as well as other tournaments during school & college days. We won most of the matches under my captain ship during that period. Due to cricket, I was able to develop various skills apart from physical fitness like time management, working in team, decision making, leadership, etc. Playing cricket helped me in balancing physical and mental fitness. This helped me in scoring good marks in academics as well.
I am very much inspired by the God of Cricket – Sachin Tendulkar. I follow Sachin since my childhood. When I met him for the first time, it was like dream come true. There are so many things to learn from him like simplicity, dedication, commitment, fitness first (physical & mental), plays natural game without any fear/botheration, does charity without publicity, down to earth by nature, etc. etc. and the list is unending. He is mentor, motivator for many of us.
"Sports for all is my vision, my dream. India has been ranked as the diabetes capital of the world and that doesn't say much about our health. We need to pay more attention to our health, get fitter, get healthier," Sachin said: "I urge every Indian to make any one sport a part of their fitness regime. You need not play the sport at a competitive level, but for fun and (to) burn some calories.”
He said: "Don't worry about failures. Sometimes failures stop you from attempting something new and you never know till the time you make an attempt. So go out and chase your dreams, because dreams do come true."
He also said: “Fitness is not about how one look from outside.” Younger generation do have an access to lot of indoor games but outdoor games always give greater fitness. Outdoor games provide greater absorption power, helps to stay healthy, adapt different lifestyle”.
Importance of fitness in life from my angle: We need to make Swastha Bharat along with Swacha Bharat.
Sport = Health
Health = Wealth
A healthy mind resides only in a healthy body. Both physical and mental well-being are the fundamentals of great achievements in man's life. Sports keep much importance in our life. Sports are good for a person's health as they form part of a fitness regime, which can reduce the risk of certain diseases, enhance balance and boost memory function. In addition to physical benefits, fitness can improve a person's mental health. Sports provide physical and psychological benefits to people of all ages. Physical exercise is good for mind, body and spirit. Furthermore, team sports are good for learning accountability, dedication and leadership, among many other traits. Putting it all together by playing a sport is a winning combination.

Of all the outdoor games, my most favorite is cricket. This game has been popularly accepted in India in recent years since India’s good performance in international cricket.
The game of Cricket is played on a large oval-shaped ground. Each team comprises of eleven players. After the toss, one team bats and the other team bowls in turn. The batmen starts batting and the fielders defend the deliveries.
The game may be of a One-day match or a Test-match of five days.In a test match, each team gets two innings to play. In a One-day match (also limited overs), each team typically gets 50 overs to play. In case of Twenty20 format, the team bowls for 20 overs each. The Twenty20 cricket format is also played for one day and the results are declared on the same day. The team that scores more runs wins the match.
The captains of both the teams play significant role in such a game. There are two umpires whose opinion and decision are to be accepted by the players of both the teams.
Like other games, cricket is also a toilsome game and the practice of it keeps the players fit and healthy physically. Excellent team spirit and sense of discipline can be developed by joining and practicing this game. Deep concentration and determination is necessary to gain perfection. This game is rewarded as the valuable and dignified one..
Biran Charles Lara born on 02nd May 1969 is my favourite cricketer. He is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. Left handed Lara holds the record for the highest individual score in a Test innings after scoring 400 not out against England.Lara was awarded 'The Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World' awards in 1994 and 1995 and is also one of only three cricketers to receive the prestigious BBC Overseas sports Personality of the year.
